Are you a fan of Diablo? Do you like science fiction? Then let me tell you about Warhammer 40k Inquisitor from Neocore Games!
When you first start the game you create an inquisitor from three main classes- Psyker, Assassin and Tactical. Each class offers three variations and multiple tiers of configurations to adapt them to your play style. Psykers are the game’s equivalent of magic users, using area of effect attacks (aoe) and high powered spells/powers to stop the foe. Assassins are more of the stealthy, sniper like characters, killing their enemies with precision. Lastly the Tactical Inquisitors are your gun toting badasses that rain down damage and pain on everything in his path.
The story follows as the Inquisitor finds a flagship that had been lost to the warp. Knowing that the influence of Chaos would likely be involved you board anyway to learn what happened to the soldiers of the Imperium that once manned the ship.
The game currently features a Season 1 update adding the dreaded Dark Eldar, or Drukhari, and a currently unreleased add on- City of Suffering. Already with plans to expand on the game further there will be plenty of reasons to keep you playing. Players can also invite their friends along for the ride- highly recommend doing this because it makes the missions so much easier and greatly increases the enjoyment because you now have someone by your side to enjoy the journey. Along excellent graphics and an adaptable control scheme anyone can configure the game to their liking. So far I’ve put close to a dozen hours into the game and have barely scratched the surface of the main story and have instead spent a majority of my time playing the numerous side missions in an attempt to bring peace to the sector. I have yet to try the Drukhari levels but the images I’ve seen have looked fantastic. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next along with the conclusion to the story.
