Darksiders is back with an updated version for Xbox One and PS4.
In 2010, comic legend Joe Madureira and Vigil Games released Darksiders and the gaming world was in awe. The tale followed one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, War, as he is tricked into riding into battle before the final Seals have been broken.
When I finally purchased the game I easily spent dozens of hours combing through every catacomb, killing every enemy, and finding every last item to maximize War to his fullest.
Fast forward 6 years and we see the game has resurfaced and is updated for the latest consoles! Darksiders has always been a title that I just needed an excuse to start again and now I have it- play through number 5 here I come!

The Darksiders experience
Jumping into the game I immediately decided to jump into the hardest difficulty- I did it in the original game and wanted to experience the game at its fullest. It was just as difficult as I remembered but not overly so. The game always had a fine balance of challenge and absolute fun.
Immediately, I was greeted by a sharper cinematic leading into the first stage as War lands on Earth. I couldn’t help but notice that the graphics were more crisp than before and yet the combat was as seamless as ever.
Like most games there is the price you will need to pay to play and they price it well worth its value. In this case there is a huge difference. You can get the game for only $19.99 from the Microsoft Digital Marketplace but it would be well worth the full $59.99 of a new title. You should not hesitate picking this up, you will not be sorry.
